Block's Better Bars Block's Better Bars is yet another mod about improving boss bars, and health bars in general. Over time, it has been improved and added upon with the ambitious goal of becoming the last boss bar mod you'll ever need. Read on for more details: New Boss Bar Style: The bread and butter of the mod, improved boss bars: • Support for simultaneously displaying bars for multiple bosses at once! • Dynamic HP fill color that changes the lower health is • Shake, chip, and flash effects to make the boss bar a little more lively • A bar fill animation upon initially engaging a boss • Larger text display for HP, which also includes the boss's name • Many different appearances, based on world difficulty by default Sidebars: A unique, optional feature; 'Sidebars' are special, minature boss bars that temproarily appear to display the status of recently-damaged foes: • As their name implies, Sidebars are positioned on the side of your screen, adjacent to your minimap • They have most (though not all) of the same features of standard boss bars Common Enemy Bar Improvements: It's not just boss bars that get better with this mod! (Otherwise it'd still be called Block's Boss Bars): • Another optional feature that offers an enhanced version of the common enemy health bars (The ones that appear below damaged enemies) • Comes with increased size/length, and a text display for HP • Much more customizable than its vanilla counterpart Player Widget Bars: Yet another additional feature; you can now add stat bars to your player, like how other players appear in multiplayer: • Show bars below your player as an extra display for health and mana • There's also a flight time bar which can be set to appear above your player! • Like the enhanced enemy bars, these player bars come with a larger size and text displays • You can also enable text displays for multiplayer health bars! Player Health & Mana Bars: A new custom style option for your health and mana bars! • Highly customizable compared to the vanilla display • Has a large variety of appearances, including ones based on the different minimap styles Configuration: Block's Better Bars has a massive amount customization options that allow you to fine tune the behavior of all its features: • Adjust the position, color, and size of bars and text displays • Customize how many boss bars/sidebars can be displayed at once • The boss bar and sidebars come in many different styles to choose from. This stacks with the different difficulty-based appearances of boss bars! • Boss bars can also be set to use unique appearances based on the boss. This feature supports all vanilla bosses by default • Modify the logic of the boss bar, allowing you to count optional boss parts on certain bosses, like Skeletron! • Toggle extra displays for stats other than health • Toggle and adjust bar shaking, chipping, flashing, and filling effects • Whitelist NPCs to make them draw boss bars! There's also a special whitelist for adding minibosses! • And more! Mod.Call: • Modders can add custom boss bar logic and appearances to their bosses using Mod.Call! • If you want to add Mod.Call support to your mod, refer to the Mod.Call Guide discussion thread! Open Source • This mod is open-source under the GNU GPLv3 license. In short, you’re allowed to view and utilize code from the source if you’d like, but if you want to publish any work you did with it, that project will have to use the same license (GNU GPLv3). YABHB heavily inspired this mod, which was created with the goal of being an unoffical successor for modern tML. Additionally, some bar sprites (namely those of the YABHB-Style) are adapted from YABHB's own boss bar sprites. • gotest; creator of another 1.3 mod, 'Unleveled'. Its enemy health bars were the basis and inspiration for the 'Sidebars' feature. • The ' Simple Custom Health Bars ' mod by ItsMazzdy inspired the addition of custom player health and mana bars.
