Source Code: https://github.com/onlyenotsudo/ParryBlockEtc Adds a mechanical parry system similar to Ultrakill or Souls-likes. Press a key to block damage, reflect projectiles, and counterattack. This mod was designed to make combat more interactive. Instead of just running away, you can actively engage with enemy attacks. Note: The code and content of this mod were generated by AI. The mechanics were designed and tested to ensure everything works correctly as of the last update. Key Features • Parry & Reflect: Right-click (default) with any weapon to enter a defensive stance. Timed blocks negate damage and reflect projectiles. • Active Aiming: You aim your block with the mouse. The direction matters. • Movement (Pogo): Successful parries knock you back. Parry downwards on an enemy to bounce off them like in platformers. • Custom Styles: Choose how your character holds the weapon: like a wall, a spear thrust, or just a simple shield icon. • Rewards: Configure parries to restore Mana or % HP. Great for sustaining long fights. Customization Almost everything is configurable in Mod Config: • Rules: Whitelist/Blacklist specific weapons. Enable parrying for Magic/Ranged/Summon classes. • Difficulty: Change parry window frames, cooldowns, and stamina costs. • Visuals: Toggle screen shake, hitstop (time freeze), and flash effects. • Projectiles: Choose how reflections work (aim at mouse, bounce back, or just absorb). Compatibility Works with Calamity and other content mods. Includes safety settings to prevent crashes with complex bosses (like Infernum Plantera). Status No further updates or bug fixes will be provided by the original author. If you encounter issues, feel free to fix them using the source code provided above.
