Disclaimer: This mod was made mainly by me. But i used some AI because im not an expert coder. ⚙ CalamityPerformance This is a mod that I started making because a friend of mine (who only has a CPU and no dedicated GPU) was having performance issues. The main feature of this mod is culling . When I was trying to make the mod, I thought: "Minecraft has performance mods that are always talking about culling or something like that, so why not bring this feature to Terraria?" This mod can make a crazy difference without making your game look like a potato! Feeling like Large Terraria worlds are too small? Try my other mod too: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3792079909 Main Features • Particle, Projectile, and Entity Culling — Makes almost anything that is far outside the screen stop rendering. • Dynamic Lighting Optimization — Lights won't be processed when they are too far outside the screen. • Memory Management — Clears unused cache and information whenever you enter or leave a world. • Buffer Reuse — Reduces unnecessary allocations and garbage collection. • Multi-Core Assistance — Makes Terraria use your CPU cores in a more efficient way. • Multipart Boss Optimization — Improves the performance of multipart bosses such as The Destroyer or Devourer of Gods. • Damage Text Aggregation — Merges multiple damage numbers from segmented bosses into a single visual display. • Sleep Optimization — Basically, when you have a bajillion mods installed, Terraria won't die when you try to sleep to make time pass faster. • Exo Mechs Optimizations — Basically makes sure the Exo Mechs won't turn your computer into a fission reactor by using more specialized optimizations and culling. • Multiplayer Fixes for Calamity: Wrath of the Gods — WotG had a bunch of bugs and glitches that affected both performance and gameplay, so I added several fixes to make it much more playable in multiplayer without exploding your PC. Future Plans I'm planning to make this mod no longer exclusive to the Calamity Mod and eventually turn it into a standalone Terraria performance mod, so expect some name changes in the future.
