Thorium Info+ This mod is designed to provide the player with detailed information about the Thorium Mod. It implements several interesting mechanics that help you learn the mod without constantly staring at the wiki (instead, you'll be staring at the Infobook :3) Mechanics? It combines the basic mechanics of popular info mods: Acquisition info — the game automatically reads item acquisition data from the code and displays it (crafting, drops, sales, Shimmer, containers). However, the main difference between this mechanic and other mods is manual hints. By default, no mod can read unique item sources and display them to the player — in those cases, you have to go to the wiki. But in this mod, that information has been added manually for many items (fishing, chest loot, or cheats entirely). Wing, mount, and hook stats — displays the stats of wings, mounts, and hooks. They're pulled directly from the mod's code, so when they change with updates, they'll update too. Armor set bonus preview — armor set helmets get an extra tooltip where you can see the set bonus in advance, without having to wear the armor. Once equipped, the tooltip disappears. Ammo info — ranged weapons get an extra tooltip listing the ammunition they use. Unique mechanics And most importantly — this mod has several unique mechanics related to information. Making players read the Bestiary — almost nobody reads the vanilla Bestiary, and that's a fact. The goal of this feature is to fix that by making Bestiary entries easier to absorb. Now you don't need to kill several mobs and open the Bestiary to read an entry — it will automatically appear in your chat after the first kill (not on subsequent ones). I figured this way, players will at least read a bit of the mob descriptions the developers worked so hard on. NPC shop inventory preview — now you don't need to go to the wiki to find out which items an NPC sells and when. All items they sell are already visible in the shop from the start, but locked — hovering over them shows the conditions to unlock them. Additionally, each time a new item unlocks, a chat message appears telling you which NPC now sells what. This mechanic does not apply to the Traveling Merchant or vanilla items sold by vanilla NPCs. Infobook And probably the most important part — the Infobook. The Guide gives you the Infobook at the start of the game, if your character hasn't used one before. Using the Infobook unlocks access to its UI. The Infobook contains all the most important information about the mod: progression, new classes, mechanics, and as a bonus — tips for beginners. Some information was taken directly from the wiki, and some was based on my own experience playing the mod (for example, the entire huge progression tab was written entirely by me, since the Thorium wiki doesn't have a general mod progression guide).
