模组简介
Clash of Titans — stop fighting the bosses. Make them fight each other. A travelling showman called the Matchmaker turns up once you have beaten two bosses. He is a merchant of entertainment, and what he sells is a fight: you name two bosses, he builds an arena on the spot, drags them both into it, and the two of you watch from the inside while they tear each other apart. You cannot be hurt in there. You get unlimited flight, and you can hover in place to watch. Nothing drops loot, nothing is left behind, and the arena is taken apart when it is over. HOW IT WORKS Talk to the Matchmaker and pick two fighters from his card. He builds the ring around you both, summons them, and the fight runs on its own. When it ends, the winner gets a moment in the ring and then everything is cleared and you float back down to where you started. A seat costs money, scaled to who is fighting. He only books bosses you have beaten — or bosses you have shown him the lore of. THE WHISPERS Right-click him holding one of the lore pages a boss leaves behind ("Whispers from on high dance in your ears") and he will take it, say what he makes of it, and add that boss to his card whether or not you ever beat it. The page goes into his drawer, and you can read everything you have given him from a button in his dialogue, shift-hold for the full text exactly as you would in your inventory. He has something to say about all 54 pages, including the ones about places and about how the world got this way. Hand him the same page as the man and as the shimmered one and you will not get the same answer. He sells you the rumour. She tells you what it actually says. Three bosses have no page of their own, so the page that tells their story stands in: the Moon Lord answers to Requiem, the Lunatic Cultist to Prelude, and Cryogen to The Archmage. The Eidolon Wyrm wants no page at all — carry a Terminus once and he knows the way down. Deerclops drops nothing and has no page anywhere, so simply beating it is enough, and he will have something to say about it the next time you speak. THE ARENAS Every fight gets a ring built for it. Small, medium and large depending on who is in it, so a boss that moves fast is not fighting in a cupboard and a boss that teleports cannot leave. Underneath the floor is solid ground for the whole depth a worm might dive into, in glass, so you can still watch them down there. Some fights are not held where you are standing: - The Ceaseless Void and Polterghast will not fight properly above ground, so he takes you to the caverns and the ring is built in dungeon brick with blue torches - The Wall of Flesh has one arena only: a band spanning the world where the caverns end, and booking it takes you down to the underworld - Anahita and the Leviathan get their water The Moon Lord gets the largest ring there is and still barely fits in it. CHAMPIONSHIPS Pick a bracket size, pick that many fighters, then either pair them up by hand or let him draw the card. The fights run back to back, winners go through, and it ends with one left standing. The ring stays up the whole way through. It only comes apart if the next fight needs a different one, and if that fight belongs in the caverns or the underworld you are carried there between rounds. WHAT ELSE IS IN THERE - 43 fighters from Terraria and Calamity, grouped by stage of the game. The last three are not done yet: the Exo Mechs, Yharon and Supreme Calamitas. Thanatos can be booked on its own, but the trio as a fight is not in - The Matchmaker has two forms. Take him to the shimmer and see what comes out. He will not discuss it - He hates the Dryad. She hates him more. One of them will do something about it - The Devourer of Gods does not talk to you. It talks to the Matchmaker, and it knows exactly what he is wearing. Put it in a ring with something it has history with — Signus, the Ceaseless Void, the Storm Weaver, Draedon's machines, Polterghast, Supreme Calamitas — and they will have it out in front of you - Bosses stop addressing you as if you were fighting them, for the length of a booked fight only. Your own fights are untouched - Fargo's Mutant Mod supported: catch him in a net and see CONFIGURATION - Damage multiplier, so fights do not take all day (default 3x) - Boss-on-boss immunity frames, if you would rather they traded blows more slowly - Self-lighting arenas, on by default, so no torches are needed to see - Unlock every boss, if you would rather not collect pages - Free fights, if you would rather not pay THIS IS AN EARLY RELEASE AND IT NEEDS TESTING Version 0.1. It is posted unfinished on purpose, because the only way the awkward parts get found is people playing it. A lot of what this mod does is make bosses behave in a situation their own code never expected: fighting something that is not a player, in a box, with nowhere to run. Every boss has its own ideas about where it is allowed to be and when it is allowed to leave, and each one needs its own handling. Most of them have had it. Some of them have not been looked at properly yet. The worm bosses are overpowered right now. A long segmented body does an enormous amount of contact damage to something standing in it, and against most opponents that is simply the whole fight. It is on the list, and it may change. Things that may well go wrong: - A boss walking out of a fight at full health, or standing still doing nothing - A fight that will not end, or ends with the wrong winner - A boss stuck in the floor, the ceiling, or outside the ring entirely - Arena blocks or background walls left behind in your world - Anything to do with boss mods other than Calamity. Only Terraria's bosses and Calamity's are on the card - Multiplayer. It is built for single player and has not been tested in multiplayer at all PLEASE BACK UP YOUR WORLD BEFORE PLAYING. The arena is removed when a fight ends and autosaving is held off while one is up, but this is version 0.1 and I would rather you were careful. TELL ME WHAT BREAKS Feedback is genuinely wanted, and bug reports more than anything. Leave a comment on this Workshop page — that is the right place for all of it, and I read them. If something goes wrong, include: - What the two fighters were - What happened, and what you expected instead - Your client.log, which is the single most useful thing you can send. Find it at: Documents/My Games/Terraria/tModLoader/Logs/client.log Opinions are just as welcome as bugs. Fights that are boring, arenas that are the wrong shape, bosses that deserve something better than what they currently do, things the Matchmaker should have an opinion about and does not. Tell me which fights you want to see and which ones disappointed you. The logo and cover art are AI-generated. I am not an artist and I would rather say so plainly than have anyone wonder. Everything else in the mod is my own work. Thanks for trying it this early. Developed By BooHoo
