Become Shadow. Build a secret organisation. Take apart the Cult of Diablos from the shadows. Shadow Garden is a story mod for Terraria inspired by The Eminence in Shadow. It tells the whole story, from the bandit camps of pre-Hardmode to the Cult's deepest secret after the Moon Lord: fourteen chapters across pre-Hardmode and Hardmode, all Seven Shadows, and Shadow's own fighting style. WHAT'S INSIDE - 18 bosses and 2 superbosses - 31 minibosses (13 of them are the Nightblades) - 26 new kinds of enemy - 8 new townsfolk: the Seven Shadows and one more - 249 new items, including 56 weapons, 7 armour sets, 32 accessories, 16 pets and a mount THE SHADOW CLASS - Forge Slime Bodysuits from slime cores and gel, and fight with the new Shadow damage type. Five suits, from your first Slime Bodysuit to Shadow's own coat. - Shadow Form (G): become Shadow, faster and deadlier. - Shadow Step (V): an afterimage dash that dodges a hit. - Fill the Eminence gauge by fighting with style, then unleash Atomic (X). The story gives you new Atomic Sigils as it goes. - A Shadow arsenal: slime katanas, the Birdcage of Darkness, the Prison of Black Chains and more. - And once, only once, per character: I AM ATOMIC. THE STORY Pre-Hardmode: - Chapter 0: bandit camps, a caged girl and a rare miniboss who reads your every move. - Chapter 1: the Cult hideout and Viscountess Griselda. - Chapter 2: rainy-night Millia, the Cult laboratory and Zenon Griffey. - Chapter 3: the Midgar Academy siege, Rex and Sir Gaunt. - Chapter 4: the Abyss Woods, the castle of Alexandria and the Mist Dragon. Hardmode: - Chapter 5: the holy city of Lindwurm, the Goddess' Trial and the witch Aurora, then the Sanctuary beneath it. - Chapter 6: the Bushin Festival, a tournament all the way to the finals. - Chapter 7: a Red Moon over the Lawless City, and the vampire queen Elisabeth. - Chapter 8: the Great Trading War, a caravan raid and the blind swordsman Gettan. - Chapter 9: the Black Rose at Oriana, a horde of beasts, Ragnarok and Mordred. - Chapter 10: Lost Echoes, a rift to a ruined Japan, and Akane. - Chapter 11: a deadly mist over the Midgar Academy, and Fenrir. - Chapter 12: Jack the Ripper, thirteen Nightblades and the Underground Colosseum. - Chapter 13: the Real Me. - After the ending: two superbosses, for the very brave. THE SEVEN SHADOWS Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta and Eta join you as the story unfolds and move into Alexandria, your base. Each one brings a Garden Bonus, her own shop, her signature weapon and her own story. Sit on the Shadow's Throne and become the Lord of Shadows. THE MITSUGOSHI COMPANY Once Gamma joins, enemies start dropping Mitsugoshi Banknotes. Spend them in her luxury catalogue: the Mitsugoshi suit, a grand piano and furniture for your own Eminence room, a pylon that takes you home to Alexandria, the Grand Carriage mount, the Shadow Garden Signet (it strengthens every Garden Bonus) and more. ALSO - Original music: a theme for nearly every boss, event and place, all the way to the end. - A Shadow Garden title screen (pick it with the menu switcher at the bottom of the main menu). - Boss trophies, relics, masks, pets and treasure bags. - Boss Checklist support. - Single player and multiplayer. Hardmode is brand new, so please report anything odd on the Discord below. GETTING STARTED Make a new world (medium or large is best): the camps, the hideout, the laboratory, the Academy and Alexandria are built when the world is created. Then open The War Chronicles from your starting inventory. It always tells you what to do next. Small worlds work too, but with other big mods (like Calamity) a small world can run out of room for the later Hardmode places. Already playing a world from an earlier version? Keep going: the Hardmode places are built as the story reaches them.
