! IMPORTANT ! This mod hasn't been updated in ages, so it might break in the current update. Since people are still checking on this mod, I'm finally thinking of going back, improving and fixing the mod after abandoning it for so long (oh oops). As I can tell from the bug report thread and comments, I have a lot of work to do.. While I'm at it, drop down what else you'd like to see in this mod! Your suggestions are always welcome. :) Ever wanted to play as your favourite twin without the punching bag and as the frustration himself? If so, this mod is for you! Esau Esau starts with the same stats and RED KEY • Birthright effect: Gives 1.2x Damage multiplier and Dead Eye item, spawns Soul of Jacob and Esau. Use it wisely. I made this mod mainly to add this guy as a playable character. Behold, The Revenant! (aka Dark Esau) The Revenant The Revenant's weapon of destruction are his dashes, meaning that he cannot fire tears. Use Right CTRL, Left Shift or the Drop button (Controller) to dash. The dash has a 2 second cooldown. Dash triggers can be changed in Mod Config Menu. He starts with: • 3 Black hearts • 1.25 Speed • -2 Luck • Aries • Birthright effect: Gives Red Stew every floor, Anima Sola in the pocket slot and 3 seconds of invincibility after dashing. • One Heart Bonus: The bonus gives 3 seconds of invincibility after dashing when The Revenant is at 1 heart He can also exit Curse rooms and open spiked/mimic chests safely, burn your enemies and dash through your Lost-run-ruiners - spiked rocks. When he dies, he explodes. Even though The Revenant is strong on early floors, he still highly relies on his damage stat and you should be very careful in late game. Enjoy! I dare you beat Delirium as him. :) • This mod was created using manapheonix's Character Template , Mastema mod as a base, Samael mod for a custom death animation and my brain. Compatability with other mods This mod is compatible with: • Mod Config Menu • Pog for good items • Specialist Dance for good items • External Item Descriptions (for Birthright descriptions) • Custom Co-op Ghosts • Completion Marks for All modded characters See also If you: • Don't want to see Esau twise in main menu, check out my No Esau in main menu mod ! • Want to change Tainted Esau's name to his Alternative one in main menu and on the VS screen, go to The Binding of Isaac Rebirth/mods/Esau + The Revenant/customisation Open the txt file there, it'll tell you what to do next. There are also screenshots with the results of those changes. :P Tainted Esau's alternative name will fit well with my Alt names mod .
