--- NEW CHARACTER --- Like any Isaac character, Craig the Character enjoys bouncing around and collecting his favorite items. But since his favorite items don't currently exist in the base game, he'll just have to make them himself out of any passive items he can find! You must choose between preserving the functionality of your items or playing along with Craig's flights of fancy. Craig's bounciness lets you use the powerful "Bounce Shot" technique, but bouncing off walls may disrupt your movement. You might run into something sharp, and Craig hates sharp things. Whatever you end up doing, there's a good chance you'll have a conflict of interest with Craig at some point. Such is life. If you're looking for a fully cranked, fully Craigged run, try the new challenge, "The Essential Craig." Can you win as Craig? Can you lose as Craig? Can you ever truly understand Craig? This is my first mod so I apologize if I screwed anything up or ruined everything. Please let me know if you encounter a bug that Craigs your style. --- FAQ --- Does this work in Repentance+? - YES! Craig's main mechanic should now work the same way in Repentance with or without the +. Other than that, recent developments in modding API fixes should have kept all the other features intact. If anything specifically is still ruined by Repentance+, please let me know! Why does he look like that? - I don't know, why do YOU look like that? 🫵 Why isn't he crying? - Craig is content with his lot in life. He has little reason to cry. Why is he so obsessed with balloons? - He considers himself a hobbyist more than anything. It's not a big deal. What's his favorite item that isn't a balloon? - Probably the Sacrificial Altar. It lines up well with his key values. Why would you make this? - Craig was revealed to me. It is my solemn duty to reveal Craig to you. --- FEATURES --- I recommend playing your first few runs with this guy blind for a thrilling experience. But if you really must know... - Adds a very bouncy new player character + 1 new item appearing in devil/shop/curse rooms - Shoot while rebounding off a wall for a much stronger attack - Bounce shot works with more weapon types if you're using REPENTOGON lol - On each new floor, Craig tries to capture one of his passive items to make a "balloon item" - Balloons raise your stats according to their type, but the captured passive's effect is disabled - Familiars will try their best to escape Craig's balloons before the end of the floor - If he has at least 3 balloons, he will get excited and choose 1 extra item per floor - Some items are too good for Craig to capture them - Some items are so bad that Craig will delete the item as he captures it - "Magic Balloon" can be found by itself in curse/devil/shop rooms - Craig will refuse to collect most sharp items directly unless he owns a "Magic Balloon" or some form of Mom's Knife - Fighting sharp enemies stresses Craig out and increases his tear rate - Taking damage from spikes or sharp enemies will destroy Craig's body, turning him into the Lost - Sharp enemies are identified by a glinting particle effect - This includes most sharp enemies from content mods like Fiend Folio and Last Judgement - Lost form has no bouncy properties - Popping releases the last item Craig captured, but you lose enough stats for it to be a net negative - i.e. gaining a damage balloon (+1) then popping it (-1.5) leaves you at -0.5 damage - He's too miserable to worry about sharp enemies in Lost form - Craig's body reforms after clearing enough rooms or entering a new floor - Over 15 special item interactions - You can see the interactions with External Item Descriptions - Try a fully cranked Craig in the new challenge "The Essential Craig" - Lots of custom costumes - Inability to use certain other costumes - Craig is content with his place in the world --- SPECIAL THANKS --- catinsurance - Repentance modding tutorials on YouTube
