Perfect Start Run allows you to customize your starting conditions and automates the process of finding specific items by performing resets, ensuring that the seeds remain valid for sharing. Description This mod automates the process of restarting runs until specific conditions are met. It can ensure you start adjacent to specific rooms (like Planetariums or Libraries) (like mod Treasure Start Room), manage starting curses, and automatically search for items in the first Item Room. Features Start Room Control • Target Rooms: Restart until adjacent to specific rooms: Treasure, Shop, Library, Planetarium, Sacrifice, Dice, Bedroom, etc. • Curse Management: Configure which curses are allowed or blocked. Item Search • Auto-Navigation: Automatically moves to the target room. • Item Filtering: Filter by specific Item ID, Tier 3, Tier 4, or Tier 3+4. • Greed Mode Support: Checks the Shop for discounts in Greed Mode. • Auto-Disable: Turns off automatically when a matching item is found. Advanced Item Search • Extra Item IDs: You can add a custom list of Item IDs in the mod_config.lua file. • Activation: You MUST enable the option "Use Extra Item IDs" in the Mod Config Menu under the Search tab for this list to take effect. • Room Pools: The mod searches for items in the room type you selected (Start Room). It cannot force items to appear if they don't belong to that room's pool. • Example: If you set Start Room to Treasure Room and search for Sacred Heart (Angel Room item), the mod will endlessly reset because Sacred Heart does not spawn in Treasure Rooms (unless you have Chaos on Start Run). • Valid IDs: Please ensure your Item IDs match the room pool you are targeting (e.g., C Section or Magic Mushroom for Treasure Room). How to Use • Start a new run. • Press K to toggle the Search Mode ON/OFF. • Configure preferences using Mod Config Menu . • The mod will restart until Start Room conditions are met, then search for items. ]Configuration Example Strategy for Best Items: • Set Search Mode to Tier 4 Only . • Add your favorite lower-tier items (e.g., Cricket's Body , Jacob's Ladder ) to the custom list in mod_config.lua . • Select option "Use settings from config file" in MCM to load these changes. • Enable "Use Extra Item IDs" in MCM. • Enable "Also stop on specific ID" in MCM. • Result: The mod will stop if it finds ANY Tier 4 item OR any of your specific favorite items! Configuration Fully compatible with Mod Config Menu . You can configure: • Start Room Requirements (Planetarium, Library, etc.) • Blocked Curses (Blind, Darkness, etc.) • Minimum Item Quality • Specific Item IDs • Movement Speed
