# Item Finder - Greed & Normal/Hard **Requires:** Repentance / Repentance+, and **[Mod Config Menu - Impure](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3701683951)** to configure it. **Optional:** (https://repentogon.com/) makes Devil Deal searches faster (not required — works without it too). Stop rerolling by hand. Set what you're looking for, hold **T**, and this mod auto-searches seeds until it finds it — then stops. ## How to Use 1. Start a Normal/Hard or Greed/Greedier run. 2. Open **Mod Config Menu** and set your search (item ID or quality, room, and any extra requirements). 3. Press **T** to start searching. Hold **Y** to cancel anytime. 4. The search stops automatically when it finds a match. ## Features - Search by Item ID or a Quality range - Optional: require a Transformation, a floor Curse, an On Sale discount, or a second shop item - Search the Item Room, Shop, Curse Room, Planetarium, or Devil Deal (Normal/Hard) — or the Greed Shop, Gold/Silver Item Room, or Curse Room (Greed). Devil Deal is Normal/Hard only - Red Chests never spawn in Greed Mode Curse Rooms - Live Estimated Time display, including **inf** for impossible searches (locked items, Planetarium Quality 4, etc.) - **ItemIDs** tab — a real scrollable list showing neighboring items, navigate with Up/Down (fast scroll included) or type a name to jump to it - **Reset All Settings to Default** button on the General tab - **Controller support** — configurable start combo and cancel button, plus d-pad menu scrolling - **Use D6** — Isaac only, if unlocked: rerolls a room's items with the D6 instead of reseeding the whole floor whenever possible, which is much faster - **Check Items En Route** — optionally also counts the target as found if it's sitting in the Curse Room itself during a Devil Deal search (also gets D6-rerolled if enabled) - Curse Room and Devil Deal searches cost you 1/2 a heart, just like real gameplay - Devil Deal shows a big red warning if it lands you in a Devil Room with live enemies - "Anomalies" — rare hiccups (pool exhaustion, stuck teleports) the mod detects and auto-recovers from on its own - **Fix Breakfast In-Game** (on by default) — always watching, not just while searching: replaces Breakfast anywhere (Item Room, Shop, Curse Room, Devil Room, Boss Room, Angel Room, Secret Room, Library) with a real, properly weighted random item instead. Full Greed Mode pool support included ## REPENTOGON Features (Optional) (https://repentogon.com/) is a free, separate install that unlocks extra capabilities in supporting mods. It's entirely optional — everything above works fully without it. With REPENTOGON installed, this mod additionally gets: - **Instant Devil Deal chest opening** — chests are opened directly through REPENTOGON's extended API instead of the normal walk-in simulation, cutting the wait from over a second down to almost nothing - The General tab shows a live "REPENTOGON: Detected" status so you always know which mode you're running in ## Found a bug or glitch? Please leave a comment below describing it! Bug reports really help. ## Latest Update Three fixes from the comments — thanks to everyone who reported these: **Secret Room search now works in Greed Mode.** Greed doesn't have ordinary Secret Rooms at all — it only has a *Super Secret Room* — so the search was looking for a room type that can never exist there and silently found nothing. It now looks for the correct room in Greed. **Fixed Azazel spawning with no hearts, and Lilith with no black hearts.** Both had the same cause: if the mod hadn't managed to record what the character actually started with, it fell back to assuming "zero" and stripped every soul/black heart they had — which is why Azazel died to the next hit or room change. It now leaves hearts completely alone unless it genuinely knows the correct value, and it reads that value more reliably (a character's starting hearts aren't always applied on the very first frame, which could record a wrong "zero" baseline). **Controller buttons are now configurable.** The Map + Drop combo isn't usable on every gamepad or remapping setup, so the start combo (Map+Drop, Map+Pill, Drop+Pill, Map+Bomb) and the cancel button (Drop, Pill, Map, Bomb) can both be changed on the General tab.
