This is a Reworked Version of the DeadGodHelper mod. (all credits to ayte) This is what has changed: • Reinstalling or resetting your PC won't wipe your progress anymore. Before, the mod kept its own private notes about what you'd collected, stored only in its own save file. If that file got wiped, the mod thought you'd never picked up anything. Now, it also checks the game's own record of what you've collected (the same one Isaac uses for its "collect everything" tracking) — and that record is already backed up by Steam Cloud as part of your normal save. So even a fresh install just re-reads what the game already knows. (ONLY WITH REPENTOGON) • Secured the three save files where there was a bug that would keep your collected items the same. • "Steam Cloud syncing" — solved sideways. A mod genuinely can't register its own files with Steam Cloud; that's controlled by the game itself, not something mod code can request. Instead of fighting that, I had the mod lean on the game's own save file (which was always cloud-synced) as its source of truth. Same end result — your progress survives a new PC — just achieved by trusting data that was already protected, rather than trying to protect new data. (REPENTOGON ONLY) • A couple of bonus fixes that fell out of this: • It used to save to your hard drive up to 700+ times in a row the first time it checked your collection — now it's one save. • It used to accidentally skip that whole "what have I collected" check if you were in a challenge run — fixed. • Modded items now get the same treatment as vanilla ones (previously only vanilla items were double-checked this way). If you find any bugs, please let me know in the comments of this mod and I will fix it! Spot missing items! Easily spot items that were not previously picked up on this savefile. Very useful when you're trying to get a second or third Dead God. It is also compatible with Mod Config Menu, if you want to toggle things (such as displaying info when on Curse Of The Blind).
