Smelting Beggar adds a brand-new Beggar to the game, built entirely around trinkets and the Smelter mechanic! The Smelting Beggar has a chance to replace regular Beggars, appear in special rooms and can also spawn through Judgement(with RGON). Give him coins while holding a trinket and he'll attempt to smelt your held trinkets. Features • V2.0 - A new unlockable trinket with a 10% chance to activate the Smelter whenever you pick up a coin while holding a trinket. • V2.0 - A new custom challenge built entirely around trinkets, Smelter's Penny and the Smelting Beggar. Think of it as Pica Run V2.0! • A brand-new custom beggar with unique sprites, animations and mechanics • Pay coins for a chance to permanently smelt your held trinket • Failed attempts progressively heat up the furnace and improve your odds • Special interactions with Lucky Foot and Piggy Bank (Chance to refund a coin) • Very rare thematical item payouts • 20+ rare custom special rooms featuring the Smelting Beggar • A small chance to replace naturally spawning standard Beggars • Try leaving a few trinkets near his furnace.. You might notice that something starts to happen... Compatability REPENTOGON IS SUPPORTED BUT NOT REQUIRED. When REPENTOGON is installed, additional integration is available, including proper challenge/unlock handling and Judgement compatibility. Note - The new trinket is auto unlocked without RGON. With RGON you must beat the new challenge to unlock it. The trinket procs more in the challenge too so you get to see it in action :) External Item Descriptions is supported, including dynamic descriptions for Smelter's Penny trinket. Repentance+ players without EID also receive an internal description for Smelter's Penny. Compatibility with coin re-sprite mods such as sexy coins (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2490496899) to re-sprite the coin on payment. A custom map icon for the beggar when using the MiniMAPI Mod! (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1978904635) Designed to fit naturally alongside vanilla Isaac's existing Beggars and rooms. This is my first 'real' mod and my first real time working with modding isaac. I have done what I can to make this as compatible for everybody, balanced, fun and interesting.
