The Yo-Yo It always comes back. A new Treasure Room item that replaces Isaac's tears with a yo-yo on a braided string. Hold fire to charge, let go to throw it out in a looping arc, and it snaps back into your hand. How it works • Charge and throw: a little spool above Isaac's head fills as you charge. A fuller charge throws further and hits harder. • Sweet spot: hits right at the end of the string deal double damage. • Your stats matter: tears = charge speed, range = string length, shot speed = swing speed, damage = yo-yo size. • Grabs pickups: snags up to 3 coins, keys, bombs or hearts and reels them back to your feet. • Tear effects carry over: poison, burn, slow, freeze, charm, fear and more land on every hit. • Breaks things: poop, TNT, fires and barrels. Tricks When the yo-yo pulses with light mid-throw, a trick is ready: • Around the World (tap fire): a full loop around Isaac at 1.5x damage that knocks enemy shots away. • Sleeper (hold fire): the yo-yo stops and spins in place, grinding anything it touches. • Walk the Dog (walk away during a Sleeper): drag the spinning yo-yo along the floor behind you. Synergies Like Mom's Knife, your items change the yo-yo itself: • 20/20: a second, white yo-yo in your other hand. • Inner Eye / Mutant Spider: a fan of yo-yos. • Brimstone: release a full charge to fire a beam of yo-yos. • Mom's Knife: bladed, bloody yo-yos. • Fire Mind: a burning yo-yo that trails real fire. • Jacob's Ladder: an electric yo-yo that crackles and chains lightning. • Ludovico Technique: a big, free-floating yo-yo you steer around the room. Swirl it and its loose string whips enemies too. • Tammy's Head / Sad Bombs: they fire yo-yos instead of tears, which fly out and spin back. • The Forgotten: his bone club becomes a cracked bone yo-yo (his Soul uses the normal one). • Incubus, Twisted Pair, Fate's Reward, Tainted Eve's clots: they throw mini yo-yos on their own strings. • Soy Milk / Almond Milk: rapid-fire jabs. • Spoon Bender: throws curve toward enemies. • Sulfuric Acid / Terra: the yo-yo can break rocks. • And more: Ipecac, Parasite, Tough Love, Lost Contact, Strange Attractor, Chocolate Milk, worm trinkets... Spirit Sword, Epic Fetus and C Section take priority over the yo-yo. Also • Co-op and Jacob & Esau: every player who picks one up gets their own yo-yo. • Item description and a My Stuff! sketch built in. EID supported too. • No REPENTOGON needed. • Settings: volumes, effects and more can be tweaked at the top of main.lua. Made for Repentance+ .
