Ensures the question mark item in the treasure room in the alternate paths matches the same quality of the visible item. Dissatisfied with the item on display but don't wanna risk getting the other because you don't want to take the risk to see if it's better or worse? Then this mod is for you. The hidden item should now be (more often) equally as good as the other. Note that: - This mod doesn't strictly make the game easier (so stop with these "skill issues" comments you are about to type), it should only change your mindsets (probably if you ever go to alt paths) when choosing between the two. While like the thumbnail shows, if the visible item is a Q4 and so can the other, keep in mind that's also the same case with Q3, 2, 1 and even 0. How much you gain and lose from your runs with this is up to you. - The same quality for both items only happens once the moment they're naturally spawned. Using rerolls like D6 will just apply standard vanilla logic and allows for mismatching quality from that point. - How this mod works is that it "rerolls" the question mark item into one that matches the same quality of the visible item, but the item before the "rerolling" triggers will not actually exhaust its spot in the item pool, so do not worry if your Regret Pedestal went off and showed The Wafer up in the air, it will appear back later, hopefully . The "reroll" uses the treasure room pool by default and unless you have Chaos, and is also likely to Breakfast faster if it runs out of items of a certain quality it could find in the pool. But this should only be a concern to you if you're on a rerun or victory lap. Requires REPENTOGON. No Mod Config Menu support at the moment because I don't know what to add configs for this. Bugs might be bound to happen, so you may report the full details in case they do. I don't think I've tested this mod enough (no thanks to RNGesus) to see if this actually remains stable in the long terms. (I also forgot about the existence of Ultra Secret Rooms when making this thumbnail)
