Each game triggers a unique special effect. Birthright: Clearing a room has a chance to grant extra charge to the Pocket Item. Anterias HP: 6 Soul Hearts Stats: Base stats, slightly higher Speed Active Item – Bruno's Paw (3 charges): Doesn't charge normally. Using it consumes 1 of your Soul or Black Hearts to add 1 charge. When fully charged, grants the Goat Head effect for the current floor. Passive Item – Viewer's Souls: Automatically gulps a Your Soul trinket when entering a new floor (makes your next Devil Deal free). Birthright: Entering a new floor spawns 2–4 Red Chests and grants +0.15 Damage for every gulped Your Soul trinket. Yahrim HP: 3 Red Hearts Stats: Base stats, slightly higher Tears, 0.75x Damage Multiplier Starting Pickup – Subscription Card: Grants the Sacred Orb effect for 3 minutes on use. Special Ability: Picking up any item that increases Damage also grants +0.2 Tears. Pocket Item – Broken Tear Detonator (8s recharge): Works like the regular Tear Detonator, but has a 33% chance to break on use. When it breaks, it triggers 2 extra times, stops recharging, and grants +1 Tears for the rest of the room. Birthright: Damage items grant +0.3 Tears (instead of +0.2). When Broken Tear Detonator breaks, it grants +2 Tears (instead of +1) for the current room. Mangetsuu HP: 3 Rotten Hearts, 1 Soul Heart Stats: Base stats, higher Damage Special Attack: Instead of shooting tears, Mangetsuu uses a target reticle similar to Epic Fetus, calling down stomping Mom's Legs instead of air strikes (synergizes with most items). Birthright: Grants a chance to spawn a II - The High Priestess card after clearing a room (higher chance after clearing a Boss Room). Knucias HP: 2 Soul Hearts, 2 Black Hearts Stats: Base stats, slightly higher Speed Starting Effect: Starts with Cracked Dice and Dice Bag gulped. Pocket Item – Wheel of Fortune (4 charges): Triggers a random effect on use (anything from nothing, to spawning enemies, to granting stats). Each use increases the chance for a "Big Win" on the next roll by 10%. A "Big Win" spawns an item from the current room's pool and can only happen once per floor. Birthright: Allows the "Big Win" effect to trigger multiple times per floor. TAINTED CHARACTERS Tainted Ryfek HP: 1 Red Heart, 2 Soul Hearts Stats: Base stats, higher Damage Starting Pickup: XI - Strength? (Reversed Strength card) Special Mechanic: Tears and Damage multipliers constantly decrease every second, down to a minimum of 0.5x. Pocket Item – Pate (4 charges): Spawns friendly Dips, triggers a random fart, and restores your Tears and Damage multipliers (up to a maximum of 2.0x). Birthright: Increases the minimum multiplier from 0.5x to 0.8x, and the maximum multiplier from 2.0x to 2.5x. Pate also restores a larger portion of your multiplier. Tainted Anterias HP: 3 Red Hearts Stats: Base stats, much lower Tears Special Mechanic – Bruno: Bruno follows you and attacks enemies, bosses, and even Tainted Anterias himself (dealing 5x your Damage). Pocket Item – Fetch (6 charges): With enemies in the room: Bruno leaps at them and causes an explosion. With no enemies in the room: Bruno eats the first item pedestal he sees and grants +0.2 to +0.5 Damage. Birthright: Bruno leaves a trail of damaging red creep behind him. Tainted Yahrim HP: 3 Black Hearts Stats: Base stats, slightly higher Tears Special Mechanic – Curse Meter: Increases whenever you take damage, enter a Curse Room, or go to the next floor. Each point on the meter gives enemies and bosses a chance to become "Curse Boosted" (making them move faster for a few seconds). Pocket Item – Bag of Lemegeton (4 charges): Consumes item pedestals in the room, turning them into 1–4 Lemegeton wisps (of the same or higher quality), 0–2 Runes, and 0–1 Trinket, while reducing the Curse Meter. Birthright: Bag of Lemegeton has a higher chance to drop better rewards and grants a small All Stats Up for 20 seconds. Additionally, when the Curse Meter is full, you gain a 1.25x multiplier to Speed, Damage, and Tears. Tainted Mangetsuu HP: 1 Red Heart, 3 Black Hearts Stats: Base stats Special Mechanic – Bunia: Cannot shoot normally; instead, his cat Bunia shoots for him. You can pick up Bunia and throw her at enemies to deal 3x your Damage, or gently put her down using the Drop button. Pressing the shoot keys stops Bunia from bouncing. Birthright: Bunia gains Speed with every bounce (up to 2.0x). At maximum speed, she deals 2x Damage. Tainted Knucias HP: 2 Red Hearts, 2 Soul Hearts Stats: Lower than base stats Special Mechanic: Entering a room automatically uses Meat Cleaver on all enemies and Crooked Penny on all items. Every time Crooked Penny successfully duplicates an item, you gain +0.2 Damage. Pocket Item – Slot Breaker (4 charges): Doesn't charge normally; gains 1 charge every time Crooked Penny destroys an item. On use, disables the automatic Meat Cleaver and Crooked Penny effects, as well as Beggars and Slot Machines, for 5 minutes, while granting a 1.35x multiplier to Damage, Speed, and Tears. Birthright: Whenever Crooked Penny destroys an item, a Hazard Beggar spawns in its place. Give him enough coins, and he will return the eaten item.
