This expands on the Darkest Dungeon by adding more corridor backgrounds and room backgrounds, all keeping the vanilla look. No changes have been made to saturation or lighting, but to the contrary, I tried my best to replicate it. Darkest Dungeon Quest 1: Since the Darkest Dungeon has fixed room backgrounds, it wasn't possible to add more room backgrounds without recreating the map, which I did. The map keeps everything vanilla, with the only changes being the locations of every room background. • 20 new hallway backgrounds. • 6 new room backgrounds. • The boss has a new background. • The old boss background has been repurposed as a regular room background. • Room backgrounds are not random; they have been placed in rooms that make sense. For example, you will find the Ancestor's Room background in the room that contains the ancestors' knapsack, and the long staircase background on the room leading to the dungeon's boss. Darkest Dungeon Quest 3: • 2 new room backgrounds. Darkest Dungeon Quest 4: • Added 3 more variations of the hallway backgrounds to prevent same background looping. • Changed the animation of the hallway background so it continues moving even while walking. • Added vignette to the final boss background to hide the edges while it rotates and to slightly hide the blurred the effect. • Made changes to the background animation so the heart is more centered and prominent. • Brightened the veins around the heart. Before: Vanilla After: Modded Load order does not matter, except for The Manor . Place this mod under it. The only possible conflicts with other mods are those that also make changes to the Darkest Dungeon map.
