A port of the DD2 skill icons into DD1, but every skill has been recolored to adhere to Lucceri's Consistent Skill Icon Colors mod. They include buff and movement indicators similar to those found in the Resurrected Buff Skill Type Indicators mod and Motoko's Ultima Icons. I've taken some creative liberties to enhance the readability and style of some icons, such as new art for the crusader's inspiring cry to make the icon match his banner in game. I also redid the DD2 flagellant's suffer icon to de-corpseify him, and matched his skill icons with his animations (they are mismatched in the unmodified game). I've also added DD2 skill icons for the Runaway and Duelist from The Fire's Edge DLC, as well as the original Runaway and Duelist mods from Moon/Void Slime and Neogulyi respectively. Updates Fire's Edge Update (1.4) Redid the Runaway's and Duelist's icons to match with their official versions introduced with the Fire's Edge DLC. The old, modded Runaway and Duelist icons are still available for those without the DLC. If you are using the modded Duelist, you do not need to do anything as she is compatible with her official counterpart. If you are using the modded Runaway however, you will need to replace the official icons with the modded ones as the two Runaways shares the same internal name and are not compatible with each other. The modded icons can be found in the alternative folder under "runaway (mod)" (see the alternative icon replacement instructions down below for how to do this). Antiquarian Update (1.3) Colorized icons for the antiquarian, based on the ones used for Deadku's playable Antiquarian mod on the Nexus. The artist who did the icons for the Nexus mod is in the credits down below! They also had an icon for a new antiquarian skill that works perfectly as the Graverobber's Toxin Trickery. The old absinthe icon is now in the alternate folder, and can be used by following the replacement instructions below. Duelist Update (1.2) Colorized icons for the dd2 duelist class. Because of the modal nature of her skills, creating secondary effect symbols for her was a challenge. It was difficult to represent the different effects of her skills while in either stance, so I ultimately decided to create many alternatives. Some have a symbol that is a combination of the different effects she can have based on her stance, while others only contain symbols for the effects that are present regardless of stance. Please take a look in the files and decide which ones you want to use. Instructions on how to do so further below. Ultima Update (1.1) Colorized more alternative icons that include secondary effect symbols, similar to the ones found in Ultima Icons. I have created new symbols as I feel some of the original Ultima Icon ones are a bit unclear or too similar to each other. Alternatives with the original symbols are included if you use Ultima Icons and want consistency. See replacement instructions below for how to have any icon with symbols appear in game. I've also cleaned up a lot of my previous icon art, improving line art, color shading, and removing editing artifacts. Alternative Icon Replacement Instructions If you want to view/replace the normal icons with any variants, navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\262060\3579745972" on your computer. In that main folder you will see three subfolders and some other workshop related files (modfiles.txt, preview_icon.png etc;). "heroes" is the folder actually used by the game. Any icons with the proper names placed in there will show up in game. "Ultima Secondary Effects" includes all the variants with my Ultima Icon inspired symbols. If you want to use them, simply drag the "heroes" folder in there into the main folder and replace all the files. "ALTERNATIVE" includes the original variant icons using different DD2 skills, and secondary effect variants with the original Ultima Icon symbols. You will need to remove the (2) from a png file's name before moving it to the appropriate heroes folder. =====Credits===== Sam The La Pofum's DD2 Icons mod served as a starting point for my recolored version. Although I put significant work in to make this, I don't think I would have done it without their original mod. Many of the icons here are modified versions of the ones they downloaded and altered from the DD2 wiki. Please check out their mod as they have an alternate take on the coloration. It's more in line with the vanilla colors of DD1, rather than the consistent/ultima colors. You might prefer their style more, or you could mix and match as you see fit :) Also check out @dearHadrian on twitter, insta, tumblr.
