模组简介

Welcome to DD Tweaks, a series of light, per-class rebalances for Darkest Dungeon. This one is for the Musketeer : the Kickstarter reward who arrived at the Hamlet with a competition rifle, a perfect score at the shooting club and no idea what a Swine Reaver looks like up close. Her career in vanilla: exactly the Arbalest's. Same numbers, same skills, different hat; the only question anyone asked was "why not the Arbalest?", and the honest answer was the hat. This mod gives her an answer of her own: she is the light one. Less armour, more speed, an eye for the weak spot nobody else has. She still shoots from the back and still hates the front; she is just faster about it, and she crits. The Musketeer's backstory comic, by Red Hook Studios. A perfect shot at the fair, one wrong target, and a long walk to the Hamlet. Standalone: uses the Musketeer's own vanilla skills, icons and animations from the free DLC; no other mod needed. The direction (a lighter, faster sharpshooter) is inspired by Musketeer Plus , a great full rework; this is the "vanilla kit, fixed numbers" version. Do not run both. Why this mod exists. The goal is that choosing 4 of a hero's 7 skills should be a hard call: no dead slot, no auto-pick. If any skill here reads as an obvious skip or an obvious must-take, the balance missed - and that is exactly the feedback I am after. Leave it in the comments. In vanilla she is an Arbalest reskin down to the decimal. This rebalance makes them mirror images: the DD Tweaks Arbalest is the armoured huntress who bleeds and slows the marked prey; the Musketeer is the light sharpshooter who pierces armour, stuns and crits. Six skills keep their roles, one is repurposed (Patch Up). • A glass cannon, on purpose. She trades the Arbalest's armour and bulk for speed, dodge and the highest base crit in the game, same average damage with less swing. Nearly a wash on paper, but it finally gives her an identity the Arbalest never had: the light one, who acts early and lives or dies on positioning. • Crit is her whole identity. Her passive turns a crit into more crit for a few rounds, so good luck snowballs - but every crit source is budgeted so it never runs away. And since a critical hit relieves party stress, all that critting makes her a pseudo stress-healer : a crit-heavy turn keeps the party's resolve up without spending a healing skill. That is why a couple of her skills below aim to land a crit rather than deal damage. • Lead goes through armour. The Arbalest bleeds a tough front; the Musketeer ignores it. Buckshot is her anti-armour tool - a spread shot that pierces protection off everything it hits - so the piercing lives there and Aimed Shot goes back to being the clean killing shot, its marked bonus tuned to reward marking from the first dungeon, not only at max level. • Control and a way out. Smokescreen stuns one target and leaves the rest of that side shooting blind for a round - soft control, a notch below a real stun, because a fragile hero should disrupt, not lock a fight down. Sidearm is the panic button when she is dragged forward: shoot, and step back. Skeet Shot is a crit primer, not a damage shot - almost no damage but a huge crit chance, so its job is to LAND a crit (firing her passive, shaving stress) and to hit what nobody else can: a stealthed enemy, or rank 1. • Powder Burn. A heal made no sense on a hero who just wants to shoot, so it becomes a once-a-fight stim: she sharpens up - more crit, near-perfect aim - for the rest of the battle instead of bulking up. How she plays now. Rank 4 or 3, and she wants to stay there. Turn one is a choice: Call the Shot on the target that matters, or Powder Burn if the fight will be long. Then Aimed Shot does the killing and Buckshot punches through armour and crowds. Smokescreen is the panic button that also buys a round of missed attacks; Skeet Shot fishes a crit at any rank - the hidden one, the one in rank 1, a little stress off every crit. Dragged forward? Sidearm , and walk back. She is fragile, so keep something big in front of her, as her own camp skill says. Camp skills and trinkets untouched. Good to know: buffs and debuffs last 3 rounds unless stated (Smokescreen's -ACC 1 round, Powder Burn until the end of the battle). Powder Burn keeps Patch Up's slot, so existing Musketeers keep it learned. Safe on an existing save; a new campaign is recommended. Full tables per level are in changes.txt inside the mod folder. Bold rows are changes, grey rows are vanilla. Rank dots: launch ranks left, target ranks right. Uninstall any time: disable it in the Mods menu or unsubscribe. Only the hero files are overridden, so existing Musketeers go back to vanilla values and Powder Burn turns back into Patch Up. If the game crashes or the changes don't show: make sure no other Musketeer rework is enabled (Musketeer Plus included), that the all-in-one DD Tweaks pack is not enabled together with this one, and restart the game after changing the mod list (tooltips are cached). Skill still called "Patch Up"? Run localization.exe from the game's _windows folder once. DD Tweaks 1.0 is one mod per class; enable only the ones you want. Click a portrait to open that class: More classes are on the way; the collection and an all-in-one pack will be linked here as they release. Darkest Dungeon, the Musketeer and all artwork belong to Red Hook Studios. Fan-made rebalance, no affiliation. Direction inspired by Musketeer Plus (linked above); none of its assets are used. The comments are open; she will take it as a compliment.
