Curious Corpse Curios - Vanilla Trinkets The fallen are not always picked clean. This mod adds a rare Fallen Hero curio for every vanilla class. It shows that class's corpse from the Darkest Dungeon DLC arena art and rewards you with loot and one of the base game trinkets made for that class, with its stats exactly as in the base game. What this mod does • Adds 18 new curios , one for each vanilla class. • The curios appear rarely, only in hallways, in the Ruins, Weald, Warrens and Cove - on average roughly once every 4 to 5 quests. • Each corpse can be looted for one of its class specific trinkets, plus some regular loot: gold, gems and heirlooms. • The trinkets have a new rarity called Well Worn so they drop from the corpses, and they have their own worn, cracked frames. Their stats are not changed at all : every trinket is a copy of the matching base game trinket, with identical effects. • This is the vanilla version of Curious Corpse Curios , which uses the Trinkets Plus trinkets with stronger Well Worn stats. The curios, art, loot and spawn rate are the same. Curio interactions Each corpse can be used with the following items: • No item - some gold, a gem or heirloom, and one trinket for that class. • Class provision - use the provision that class starts a run with to give the fallen a proper send-off. You get much more loot than normal - extra gold plus several gems and heirlooms - as well as the trinket: • Houndmaster corpse: Dog Treats • Plague Doctor corpse: Antivenom • Grave Robber corpse: Shovel • Arbalest corpse: Bandage • Crusader corpse: Holy Water • Leper corpse: Medicinal Herbs • Jester corpse: Medicinal Herbs • Antiquarian corpse: Skeleton Key • Torch (all corpses) - burn the body. The hero takes 50 stress and you get no loot . • Shovel (all corpses except the Grave Robber) - bury the body and lay them to rest. The hero is healed of 50 stress , but you get no loot , since you did not search the corpse. The Grave Robber corpse is the exception: its shovel interaction is the provision interaction above. Installation and load order Subscribe, then enable the mod in the in-game mod menu. Use either this mod or Curious Corpse Curios, never both, because they add the same curios. The trinket add-ons (Trinkets and Baubles, 101 New Trinkets) need Curious Corpse Curios and do not work with this one. The dungeon mod patches work with either version. Compatibility and known issues • This mod adds new lines to the curio list of the Ruins, Weald, Warrens and Cove. A mod that replaces those lists and is loaded after this one can remove the corpse curios. If the corpses never appear, move Curious Corpse Curios above it. • Modded classes do not have a corpse yet. Only the 18 vanilla classes do. • The Courtyard and the Darkest Dungeon do not spawn corpses. • The trinkets are separate copies of the base game trinkets. The original trinkets still drop and work as normal. • Only the class specific trinkets of the base game that have a common, uncommon, rare or very rare rarity are in the corpse pool. • Bug reports and balance feedback are welcome.
