THEY ALWAYS COME BACK. Makes every base-game boss quest repeatable so bosses ALWAYS appear in their dungeons, every single week - even after you have killed them. Covered Bosses (all base-game) • Ruins: Necromancer, Prophet • Weald: Hag, Brigand 8-Pounder • Warrens: Swine Prince, Flesh • Cove: Siren, Drowned Crew All three tiers: Apprentice / Veteran / Champion. Darkest Dungeon quests are also repeatable, so this is fully compatible with "Repeat Darkest Dungeon Quests". USING BOSS MODS? Subscribe also to my companion patch Zircon's Bosses Spawn Fix - Modded Bosses for repeatable MODDED bosses (Exaelus' Arduous Edition, Kraken, Farm Plus, Vermintide, Sinister Circus, Meat, Mountain, Courtyard bosses). Both mods are designed to work together. INSTALLATION • Click Subscribe on this page. • Launch Darkest Dungeon and open your save (or start a new one). • In the campaign's Mods menu, enable "Zircon's Bosses Spawn Fix". • IMPORTANT: drag the mod to the VERY TOP of the load order list - mods higher in the list win file conflicts. • Load in. From the next week onward, boss quests will appear and KEEP appearing. USING MY ZERO PENALTY RETREAT MOD TOO? Load order rule: this mod must be ABOVE Zircon's Zero Penalty Retreat. Both mods edit quest.plot_quests.json; with this one on top you keep repeatable bosses AND the zero exit-stress / no-quirk abandons (those live in separate files and always work). WORKS ON EXISTING SAVES Quests are regenerated every week, so this works immediately on campaigns already in progress. Safe to add or remove mid-campaign. NOTES • Bosses still unlock at their normal region levels - they just never go away afterwards. • One-time story quests (tutorial, town invasion, Crimson Court epics) are untouched. • Only touches quest.plot_quests.json - compatible with virtually everything as long as it loads first.
