The Hermit manipulates the position of his cards to trigger lethal Dead On effects — a positional mechanic where cards become more dangerous when played in the right place at the right time. This is a community port of the beloved Slay the Spire 1 Hermit character to Slay the Spire 2, with full card art, voice barks, character animations, multiplayer-aware cards, and Dead On as a first-class deckbuilding mechanic. The port is intended as a near one-to-one recreation of the original STS1 Hermit, with only the minimal modifications needed to make cards, relics, and powers behave correctly in STS2's multiplayer mode. Further development of the character beyond what existed in the STS1 version — new cards, reworks, expansions — will be undertaken by the Downfall team . Requirements • Slay the Spire 2 beta branch — modding support is only available on the beta. To opt in, right-click Slay the Spire 2 in your Steam Library, choose Properties → Betas, and select the public beta branch. • BaseLib — the mod loader / shared framework that every Slay the Spire 2 mod depends on. Subscribe to BaseLib on the Workshop and make sure it is enabled before launching with The Hermit. Credits Original Hermit character designed and created by AlexMdl .
