Combine the same cards to make them stronger! Rank Up Cards 2 Rank Up Cards 2 is a mod that lets you combine multiple copies of the same card into a higher-rank version. A Rank 2 card, created by combining two base cards, is 1.5× stronger than the original. A Rank 3 card, created by combining two Rank 2 cards, is 3× stronger than the original. All cards except Strikes and Defends can be combined as many times as you want through a Free Action at Rest Sites. If at least one of the combined cards has upgrades, the upgrades will be preserved when ranking up. However, all other enchantments are removed. The original Slay the Spire 1 mod, Rank Up Cards , required collecting 3 and then 9 copies of the same card, making rank-ups difficult to achieve. The resulting cards were also arguably stronger than necessary. Rank Up Cards 2 improves on that design, making rank-ups more frequent and natural so you can enjoy the progression throughout a run. Additional Options Various gameplay options are available in the mod settings. The following options are disabled by default: • Use the original Rank Up Cards system (combine immediately upon obtain, 3 copies → 2× power, 9 copies → 4× power) • Allow Strikes and Defends to be combined • Combine Strikes and Defends into Ultimate Strike and Ultimate Defend • Add the relic "Walking Encyclopedia" to Neow's rewards, supporting card combining Other Due to how it works, some cards may not be affected by the multiplier (e.g., Barricade). Cards from other mods are generally compatible as well, but some cards may not be affected. English is supported (human-translated, though some parts may be inaccurate due to bad english).
