Works on the default Steam branch (game v0.107.1 or newer). No beta opt-in needed. Put. That. Clone. DOWN. Clone is for cloners. The Clone enchantment — the one that duplicates its card at every Rest Site until your deck is a hall of mirrors — normally hides behind a double dice roll: Pael has to show up at the start of Act 2, and Pael has to feel like offering Pael's Growth. That's roughly a 4–14% chance per run. Unacceptable attendance for the funniest mechanic in the game. What this mod does • Whichever Ancient greets you at the start of Act 2, their blessings now always include Pael's Growth : "Enchant a card with Clone." • That's it. One extra option. You may still pick a different blessing, like some kind of coward. The fine print • 100% original implementation — the real Pael's Growth relic, the real "choose a card" picker, the real Rest Site Clone option, the real exponential deck crimes (1 → 2 → 4 → 8...). • If Pael naturally rolls Pael's Growth himself, the mod politely does nothing. • No dependencies. No BaseLib required. No base-game content replaced. • Works with every character. Multiplayer To play in multiplayer, all players must have this mod installed, at the same version. The game enforces this itself: lobbies with mismatched gameplay mods refuse to connect, and since everyone generates identical blessing options, Ancient choices stay perfectly in sync. About game updates Slay the Spire 2 is in Early Access and updates roughly every other week. If an update breaks this mod, that is expected and temporary — it will be updated. Runs on v0.107.1 and up; tested on both the default branch and the beta. Credits Clone, Pael's Growth, Pael, and all art belong to MegaCrit — this mod just makes the introduction.
