Training Ground

模组简介

Training Ground is a practice sandbox for Slay the Spire 2. There is no map and no run to lose — you drop straight into a fight, build whatever situation you want to practise, and reset it as often as you like. 1. Starting a session • Enable Training Ground in the mod list and restart the game. • Main menu → Singleplayer . There is now a fourth card next to Standard / Daily / Custom: Training Mode . • Pick a character and embark as normal. • You land directly in a combat. Training has no map — when a fight ends you are put into a new one. Returning to the main menu ends the session; nothing is written to your normal save. 2. The training menu During combat, click the training shortcut on the top bar. A small popup offers two things: • Training Menu — the hub with all the editors. • Edit Scene — scene editing mode (section 8). The hub has seven entries: Add Cards , Manage Relics , Manage Potions , Quick Restart , Manage Creatures , Load from History and Manage Saves (snapshot the whole setup and reload it later). 3. Building a deck Adding cards • Hub → Add Cards opens the game's own card library, so every filter and search still works. • Click a card to open its preview. • Press Add to Deck . • Want the upgraded version? Tick View Upgrades on the preview first — the card is added in whatever state the preview is showing. Cards go straight into your live deck — there is no confirm step. Close the library with the back button when you are done. Removing, upgrading and copying Open your deck normally and turn on Edit Mode . Cards now respond to clicks by selecting instead of opening the preview — they glow like a selected card in combat. Select as many as you want, then use Remove Cards (n) , Upgrade (n) or Copy (n) . Enchantments From a card's preview you can attach any enchantment in the game. Search the list, pick one, and set the amount — +1 / -1 to nudge it, 0 to clear, or jump straight to 999 . Enchantments with a fixed effect show as Fixed Effect and ignore the amount. 4. Relics and potions Hub → Manage Relics or Manage Potions . These open the game's real relic collection and potion lab with an extra filter column added on the left. • Click any relic or potion in the grid to add it. • What you already own is listed at the top under Owned (Click to Remove) — clicking there removes it. • Filter by Obtained / Not Obtained to hide what you already have. • Relics can also be filtered by the status effects and energy they interact with — click the effect icons to show only relics that touch Strength, Block, Poison, and so on. • Remove All Relics / Remove All Potions clear everything you own in one step, with a confirmation. 5. Enemies and status effects Open this with hub → Manage Creatures , or simply right-click any creature on the battlefield to jump straight to it. The sidebar has a toggle at the top that flips between two lists: • Monster List — the whole bestiary. Click any monster to add it to the current fight . • Current Creatures — everything in the fight right now, including you. Select a creature and you get its model plus two editors. Health Set Current HP and Max HP , then press Apply HP . Invincible locks the creature so it cannot die — its health bar shows ∞. Remove Creature takes it out of the fight. Enemy HP also scales with a player-count setting, so you can practise against 2P- or 3P-sized monsters in singleplayer. Powers Search the full power list, or filter by Buff / Debuff / Special . Pick a power and set the stacks: • +1 / -1 step by one • 0 removes the power entirely • 999 jumps to the maximum (single-stack powers go to 1) This works on enemies and on yourself — select your own character in Current Creatures to hand yourself 999 Strength, or 20 Vulnerable to see how bad it gets. Clear All Effects wipes a creature clean. 6. Combat shortcuts During a training fight, right-click these parts of the HUD: • Draw pile → draw a card • Discard pile → shuffle the discard pile back into the draw pile • Energy orb → +1 Energy • Star counter → +1 Star • A card in your hand → discard it Left-clicking still does the normal thing, so the pile buttons keep opening the pile view. 7. Restarting and switching Quick Restart Hub → Quick Restart puts the current fight back to its opening state — full enemy HP, fresh draw, your loadout rolled back to what it was when the fight began. You do not have to win or die first. Any creatures you added and any scene changes you made are replayed onto the new fight, so your setup survives the reset. Change character Click your portrait in the top-left corner, confirm, and pick a new character. The session restarts as that character with their default starting deck and relics. Load a past run Hub → Load from History , or pick Past Lives on the character-select screen when starting a session. Choose a run, then use the button in the bottom-right corner: • Press Load as-is for the loadout exactly as the run ended. • Or click any floor in that run's map history first. The floor is framed, the deck, relic and HP panels repaint to show that point so you can check it before committing, and the button becomes Load Floor n . Clicking the same floor again goes back to the final state. Deck, relics, potions and HP are reconstructed for whichever point you pick, and a combat floor also rebuilds that floor's own enemies — so you can replay the fight that killed you, with the deck you had. 8. Editing the battlefield Top-bar shortcut → Edit Scene . The combat HUD, top bar and relic strip all hide so you can see the whole stage. Press Done Editing to leave. • Drag creatures with the left mouse button to reposition them. • E flips the creature under the cursor to face the other way. • Delete removes the creature under the cursor. • Scene picker — swap the background to any location in the game. • Music picker — swap the combat track. • Camera — zoom (50%–125%), vertical offset, and whether the player is centred on the stage. A padlock badge means that creature is part of a unique boss scene (Kaiser Crab's claws, Decimillipede's segments) and cannot be moved, flipped or removed. Adding a boss that owns a unique scene will rebuild the stage — the game asks first. Languages Every language the game ships with: English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Polski, Português, Русский, ไทย, Türkçe, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, 繁體中文. Only the Chinese text is written by hand — every other language, English included, is AI-translated, so wording may be off in places. Corrections are very welcome. Credits The run-teardown sequence used by this mod's Quick Restart and Change Character was worked out by Quick Restart 2 by (Gk) Erasels — thanks. That is a separate mod, not a dependency: it adds a pause-menu button (or hold R for two seconds) that reloads the current room from your last save during a normal run. Worth having for quick restarts outside Training Ground.
