Joker - Persona 5 Royal This mod adds Joker from Persona 5 Royal to Slay the Spire 2 as a fully playable character. Personas, the Rebellion Gauge, 1MORE!, Technical, Phantom Thief-themed relics, and many other Persona 5-inspired elements have been adapted into Slay the Spire 2's gameplay systems. ⚠ Important Notice This mod contains spoilers for Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, including story elements, characters, and setting-related content. AI was used during development for coding assistance and image generation. Please keep this in mind if you prefer not to use AI-assisted content. AI was also used for the English, Korean, and Simplified Chinese translations. Because of this, non-Japanese translations may contain unnatural wording or mistranslations. If you find unnatural wording or mistranslations, reports and correction suggestions are welcome. ◆ Features • A Unique Card Pool for Joker Joker has a large selection of unique cards, including standard Attacks, Skills, Powers, Persona cards, and special generated cards. • Personas Arsène and many other Personas appear as playable cards. Each Persona has different abilities, allowing for a variety of deck-building strategies. • Rebellion Gauge / Awakening Build up the Rebellion Gauge during combat to awaken Joker. Awakening comes with dedicated UI and visual effects and gives you access to powerful effects. • 1MORE! Joker's starting relic introduces a unique 1MORE! system. By continuing to play cards, you can earn the opportunity for a powerful extra action. • Technical Take advantage of conditions applied to enemies to trigger additional effects. Technical is one of Joker's core combat mechanics. • Phantom Thief-Themed Relics Unique relics inspired by members of the Phantom Thieves, including Mona, Skull, Panther, Fox, Queen, Noir, Navi, and more. • Special Generated Cards Includes unique card groups such as Treasure, Infiltration Tools, and Treasure Demons. • Custom UI and Visual Effects Joker features custom visual elements including the Rebellion Gauge, Persona displays, unique icons, and animations. • Voice / BGM Features Joker-specific battle voice lines and BGM using music from Persona 5. Voice and BGM options can be customized through the mod settings. • Compatibility with Other Characters You can leave the Joker mod enabled while playing other characters. Joker's cards are designed not to appear in random card acquisition pools that allow other characters to obtain cards from other classes. ◆ Required Mod BaseLib BaseLib is required to use this mod. Please subscribe to it through the Required Items section on the Steam Workshop page. ◆ Save Data Slay the Spire 2 uses separate save data for modded and unmodded play. When you first enable mods, your progress may appear to have been reset, but your normal unmodded save data has not been deleted. Disabling all mods and restarting the game will load your normal unmodded save again. This is not specific to the Joker mod. It is part of the way Slay the Spire 2 separates modded and unmodded save data. If you want to use your normal progression in a modded environment, you can also copy your unmodded save data to the modded save location. If you manually modify or copy save data, creating a backup beforehand is strongly recommended. ◆ Compatibility Both the Stable and Beta branches are supported. You only need to subscribe once; the mod version matching your current game branch will be used automatically. Multiplayer is supported, but it has not been extensively tested over long play sessions. If you encounter bugs or unexpected behavior during multiplayer, reports are appreciated. Updates to Slay the Spire 2 may temporarily cause the mod to stop working correctly. If an issue occurs after a game update, please wait for the mod to be updated. ◆ Feedback / Bug Reports If you encounter a bug or unexpected behavior, please report it in the Workshop comments. If possible, please include: • What was happening when the issue occurred • Cards / Relics being used • Steps to reproduce the issue • Error logs Translation corrections and suggestions are also welcome.
