Encounter Rework Actual changes for 29 encounters. Values in parentheses are Ascension values where applicable. Target: Public Beta v0.111.0 / v0.1.2 | Requires: BaseLib v3.4.5+ Settings: Each rework can be toggled separately; multiplayer uses the host settings. Overgrowth Inklets — The three Inklets take turns gaining Slippery. Snapping Jaxfruit + Flyconid — Flyconids in this encounter apply Vulnerable/Frail 2→1. Fogmog — Distract : Dazed 3 is replaced by Vigor 6 on Fogmog. Turn order changes to Fogmog→Eye With Teeth. Bygone Effigy — Slow reads cards played by the attacker on their previous turn: +10% Attack damage received per card. Phrog Parasite — Infection gains Ethereal. Wriggler Strength gain 2→3. Ceremonial Beast — Ringing no longer caps card plays; after a Ringing-marked card resolves, its owner loses 1 Energy. Vantom — Starts with temporary Slippery 3. Dismember also grants temporary Slippery 3. Temporary Slippery is removed at the end of the player turn. Underdocks Haunted Ship — Haunt applies Weak 1; it adds 0 Dazed the first time, then 1→2→3 on later uses. Stomp 4(5)×3→6(7)×3; Swipe 13(14)→15(16). Pattern: Haunt→Stomp→Haunt→Swipe. Living Fog — Advanced Gas no longer applies Haze. Bloat can summon up to 2 Gas Bombs. On the bomb turn it does not attack; each player gets Dazed 2 in their Discard Pile. Phantasmal Gardeners — HP 26–31(27–32)→32–37(34–39). Rightmost Gardener starts with Skittish 6(7). Flail grants Skittish 6(7) after resolving; this Skittish is removed at player-turn end. Skulking Colony — HP 75(80)→85(90). Every 20 damage grants Stealth 1; each stack halves incoming damage (50%→25%→12.5%…). All Stealth is removed at player-turn end. Waterfall Giant — Stored Steam gain from Stomp/Ram/Pressurize/Pressure Gun/Siphon 3→4. Lethal damage starts the Stored Steam phase instead: solo loses 1 Steam per 1 HP lost; multiplayer loses 1 Steam per party-size HP lost. Its next attack deals damage equal to the Stored Steam remaining at that point, then it dies. Soul Fysh — Beckon costs 1, gains Ethereal and Exhaust; if held at turn end, lose 6 HP then Exhaust it. An additional action adds 1 Beckon to each player's Hand. Lagavulin Matriarch — Pattern: Slash→Slash 2→Soul Siphon . Soul Siphon summons a Lagavulin Larva. While the Larva lives, repeat Slash↔Slash 2. If it dies on the player turn, Summon intent appears immediately; if it dies on the enemy turn, summoning is deferred to the next turn. Soul Siphon cannot be used on consecutive Matriarch turns. Larva pattern: Soul Siphon→Slash→Disembowel ; Soul Siphon gives each player Strength -2/Dexterity -2 and the Larva Strength +2. Slash 12(14), Disembowel 6(7)×2. On death it returns the Strength/Dexterity actually stolen. Hive Chompers — Artifact 2→1. Screech Dazed 3→2. Exoskeleton — 30–35 HP. Skitter deals 1 damage 4 times (2 damage 4 times at Ascension 9+). Mandibles deals 9(10) damage. Removes the 9-damage cap; after surviving a hit of 9+ damage, gains Block equal to damage above 9. Thieving Hopper — HP 79(84)→95(100). Flutter 5→4: halves Attack damage, loses 1 per Attack hit, Stuns at 0, and ends after its next attack. Pattern: Thievery→Nab+Flutter→Hat Trick→Nab+Flutter→Hat Trick→Escape (Escape action 5→6). Hunter Killer — Tenderizing Goop now applies Fragility: after 3 cards in a turn, each extra card deals damage equal to Fragility. First Fragility 2; later 1(2). Pattern: Tenderizing Goop(2)→Bite→Puncture→Tenderizing Goop(1(2))→Bite→… . Myte — Toxic costs 1 and Exhausts. When drawn, gain Mangled 3 for combat (+3 Attack damage taken), then Exhaust Toxic. Toxic created directly in Hand does not trigger this effect. Ovicopter + Tough Egg — Smash 16(17)→10(12). Tenderizer 7(8)+Vulnerable 2→6(7)+Vulnerable 1. Hatchling attack 4(5)→5(6). Decimillipede — Bulk 6(7)+Strength 2→Frail 1. A dead segment banks Strength 2 and Reattaches on its next action; banked Strength is applied to living segments after enemy attacks finish. Entomancer — Personal Hive becomes a per-player 5-hit threshold. When one player hits Entomancer 5 times with Attacks, only that player gains Swarm. Swarm adds Dazed equal to Bees hit count and 1 Dazed on Spear to that player's Draw Pile. Pheromone Spit becomes 1×3 damage, lowers the threshold by 1, and gains Strength 1 (2 at threshold 3). Infested Prism — Pulsate Strength 4(5)+Block 20(22)→10(12) damage+temporary Vital Spark 1. While Vital Spark is active, each Skill gives Mangled 1 for combat. Radiate 16(18)+Block 16(18)→10(12)+Block 18(20); Jab 22(24)→17(19); Whirlwind 9(10)×3→3(4)×3. Pattern: Pulsate→Radiate→Jab→Whirlwind . Glory Scroll of Biting — Paper Cuts 2 no longer removes Max HP. Each unblocked attack hit discards up to 2 random cards from the damaged player's Draw Pile. Fabricator — Fabricates a defensive bot instead of an offensive bot. Queen — Bound cards can be played. Whenever a Bound card is played, ALL Bound cards cost 1 Energy more this turn. Spectral Knight — Hex is replaced by Absorb: all players' Attacks and Skills Exhaust. When the Knight dies, cards Exhausted while Absorb was active and still in the Exhaust Pile return to their owner's Discard Pile. Test Subject — Phase 1: every 20 damage dealt grants the attacker 1 Energy + draw 1; excess damage carries forward. Bite 20(22)→39(42). Phase 3: every 6 cards toggles Isolated; while Isolated, that player's Attacks and Osty's attacks deal 1 damage. Aeonglass — Artifact 3→2. Withering Presence: 1 Wither every 6 cards→after every 12 non-Status cards, create Withers equal to current Hand size after card 12 resolves. Wither costs 1, Retain, Exhaust; if held at turn end take 2 damage and keep it in Hand. Ebb 22(26)+Block 33→24(26)+2 Withers into Draw (top at A9+); Eye Lasers 11(13)×2→12(13)×2; Increasing Intensity gives Strength 3(4)+Block 30(33).
