模组简介
This mod is intended for the main branch of the game. Death Comes A playable Death Knight class, inspired by the World of Warcraft Death Knight class. Inspiration is mostly taken from the Wrath of the Lich King era, though ideas and concepts from later expansions were taken. This concept is meant to bring the Death Knight class to Slay the Spire 2. Every card takes its name directly from a Death Knight ability or talent from WoW (excepting the undead cards), and most of them have their flavor taken from WoW as well, where appropriate. Fans of the class in WoW should find familiar faces in the Death Knight's abilities in Slay the Spire 2. This mod is also a sequel project to my first Death Knight mod for STS1. Without the lessons learned many years ago making that project, I likely could not have improved up on the design so much since then. Also a huge shoutout to all of the folks on the discord in the modding channel - you were all a great help when I was stuck on some of the tricker problems. What this mod does not have are custom animations or sfx. I am not much of an artist, and especially not much of an animator, nor do I want to pay for software to animate a project such as this. Please forgive my .png character models and lack of custom card animations. If you want to contribute animations, art, or localization to the project, feel free to reach out. The Death Knight is a fully-featured character with: • 89 unique class cards (2 Basic, 20 Common, 35 Uncommon, 25 Rare, and 2 Ancient) • 5 multiplayer cards • 3 class-specific potions • A unique Basic relic and its Ancient upgrade • 7 class-specific relics, inspired by Icecrown Citadel, and the reward items given to a character completing the Shadowmourne questline. • New unique mechanics Runes Runes come in three flavors: Blood, Frost, and Unholy. The Death Knight has cards that generate each type of rune, and starts with a card that allows you to generate a rune of your choosing. The starting relic also grants a random Rune for every 3rd strike you play. You can stockpile as many runes of each type as you please, and they are tracked on a custom UI element above the energy counter. You also have cards that have the ability to spend your Runes, granting additional effects if the corresponding Rune(s) were spent. The second Death Knight unique basic card is a strike that can spend one of each type of Rune, to add up to three additional effects to the attack. Manage your Rune supply vs. demand economy. Specialize in one Rune type or diversify and take advantage of each Rune type's pool of additional effects. Strikes Strikes are a large part of the Death Knight's arsenal, with an above-average number of them in the card pool, even compared to Ironclad. Some cards without "Strike" in their name have the "Strike" keyword, allowing them to count as strikes anyway. This opens up synergy with many class effects that specialize in buffing or playing off of your strikes. Be on the lookout for Strike Dummy - that relic shines for the Death Knight. Raise If you've ever wished that card you discarded at the end of your last turn could end up back in your hand without having to reshuffle and redraw it, you're in luck. The Death Knight has access to cards with the ability to Raise your cards from the dead (the discard pile). Raise N returns N Random cards from your Discard Pile back to your Hand. While this may not sound incredible in isolation, it works in tandem with the next mechanic... Undead Cards with the Undead keyword have a special property. If they are ever pulled from your Discard Pile back to your Hand, they autoplay. Fill your Discard Pile with Undead and use Raise effects to pull them back to your hand for juicy autoplay combos. Undead autoplay from any effect that moves your cards from your Discard Pile to your hand, so if you happen to get cross-class cards or even a certain ancient card that allows you to choose cards to pull from your Discard Pile to your hand, you're off to the races as a master of ghouls. Disease and Virulence The Death Knight has access to cards that apply the Disease debuff. Disease works like poison, but is deadlier, slower, and more insidious. Disease only deals 1 damage per turn to begin with, regardless of the number of stacks applied. However, each time Disease deals damage, half of its stack count (rounded up), is also applied to the target as Virulence. Virulence is a simple additive damage boost to Disease damage on the target. If you apply 10 Disease to the target, when it ticks, 5 Virulence will be applied to it, increasing the next Disease tick to 6 damage. Virulence continues to scale until the Disease status falls off of the target, at which time Virulence stacks will decay by 50% until depleted.
