The king has been watching. La Rata Remix brings controlled chaos, new cards, shared treasure drama and an optional royal endgame to Slay the Spire 2. Built for 1-4 players, with seeded encounter changes that scale with party size and act progression. New in 0.8.3 More varied cross-act reinforcements, two extra seconds to read royal intervention cards, and a compact La Rata Remix map title. Start a new run and update every co-op player together. A different climb • 40 encounter twist types plus additional enemies: armor, retaliation, debuffs, on-hit effects and unusual combinations within a shared difficulty budget. • A potion-throwing goblin visits selected fights between rounds. In co-op, every living player receives a different eligible potion, one after another. • La Rata occasionally plays a hidden card from offscreen. A bright emerald marker warns you: defeat the marked enemy before its turn to prevent the intervention. • Every player starts with Bowler Hat, Potion Belt and White Beast Statue: more gold, two extra potion slots and guaranteed potion rewards after combat. The Royal Collection • Ten new illustrated neutral cards, Cleanse and five playable royal prize cards, all with upgrades. • Six booster relics, available to every class. Open five facedown cards with rarity glows and individual reveals, then keep any number. La Rata packs have a 20% chance to contain a playable boss-card variant. • Five combo relics supporting exhaust, Powers, mixed card types, potions and discard. • Well wins contested chest relics against players without it; multiple Well holders have equal chances. A Thousand Cuts allows repeated shop removals at the normal increasing price. • Choose Rock, Paper or Scissors privately when competing for chest relics. Solo chests offer three relic choices. YOU ARE NOT PREPARED After the regular finale, choose whether to enter the bonus path. Everyone must agree in co-op. Face the Kingsguard, four dark knights who shield, reinforce and heal one another, then challenge La Rata and his court. The king uses a 20-card illustrated deck and five randomized combat relic effects. Your regular victory remains secured if the bonus challenge defeats you; defeating La Rata leads to the normal ending. Installation and updating Requires Slay the Spire 2 v0.107.1 and BaseLib 3.4.7. Current mod version: 0.8.3. Subscribe to this item and the required BaseLib item. Enable both in the game's mod menu and restart when prompted. Remove --nomods from Steam launch options if present. Switching from a manual install? Close the game and move the old mods/LaRata folder outside the game's mods directory. The native loader prioritizes a local copy over the Workshop version, so leaving it there can prevent updates from taking effect. Start a new run after updating. All co-op players need identical game and mod versions. Do not switch versions during an active run. New starting relics are not added retroactively to old saves. La Rata does not migrate or reset your profiles. All mod-added text is English. Development status Version 0.8.3 passed automated model and policy checks. Prior targeted solo and four-local-client gameplay checks apply to 0.8.2; the new changes have not had a fresh live co-op or in-game visual test. These checks do not guarantee full-run balance or compatibility with every other mod. Please include your game/mod versions and relevant logs when reporting a problem.
