Qifrey — The Drawn Circle Bring Qifrey from Witch Hat Atelier into Slay the Spire 2 with hand-drawn magic, special inks, and manga-inspired artwork. Open your palm quire, compose a glyph, and turn your own drawing into a playable spell card. DRAW YOUR OWN MAGIC Build spells from five elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Light. Combine up to two elements and mix up to three of twelve sign types. Adjust sign count, size, and rotation, reverse your signs, or link another seal to shape the resulting effects. Your drawing accuracy affects spell potency, ranging from 50% to 125%. Optional practice guides show the selected symbols, but every stroke is yours. Clear and Undo let you revise your work before closing the circle. CREATE PERSONAL SPELL CARDS Your actual drawing becomes the card’s artwork. Name your creation and use it during combat, or keep its blueprint in your permanent deck. Saved blueprints preserve the spell’s recipe, drawing, and measured potency. Created spell cards cast directly without requiring you to redraw them. SPECIAL INKS Prepare different inks to modify your next glyph. Different dyes can combine on the same spell. • Azuremoon Ink grants immediate Block and leaves a protective seal that grants more Block over the next two turns. • Blushing Bride Ink makes your drawn strokes faint and grants Intangible. • Tainted Ink strengthens a glyph’s damage and Block, but leaves you Vulnerable. Ordinary Ink also fuels Qifrey’s stronger water attacks and persists between turns during combat. A COMPLETE CHARACTER Qifrey comes with 24 authored card types, individual card illustrations, a custom energy icon, distinct buff and relic icons, and animated battle, casting, shop, rest, and defeated poses. His starting Silver Ink Pen supplies Ink and provides a fresh Inscribe card each turn when none is in your hand, keeping spell creation available throughout combat. THREE RELICS FOR EVERY CHARACTER These Qifrey-themed relics can appear in normal shops for any character and work without Ink or Qifrey’s cards: • Qifrey’s Spectacles: after your first Skill each combat, draw 2 cards. • Pocket Quire: after your third Skill each turn, gain 1 Energy. • Silver Ink Flask: after your first Attack each turn, gain 3 Block. ANCIENT REWARDS Touch of Orobas upgrades Qifrey’s starting pen into the Pen of the Unbroken Circle, improving its Ink income and granting Precision at combat start. Darv’s Dusty Tome grants Forbidden Palimpsest+, a special Power that restores Ink after each glyph card. SINGLE PLAYER AND CO-OP Draw and create spells in single player or synchronized co-op. Only the casting player opens the drawing screen; the resulting recipe, potency, name, and original card artwork synchronize across players. REQUIREMENTS AND COMPATIBILITY Requires BaseLib 3.4.7. Tested on main v0.107.1 and public beta v0.111.0. Everyone in a co-op party must use matching game versions, branches, and gameplay mods. Co-op testing covers two connected local players. Spell creation uses the mod’s implemented elements, signs, and effects; it does not interpret arbitrary drawings as unrestricted abilities. Unofficial fan mod.
