Friends VS Friends VS is a friends-only, three-act versus mode for Slay the Spire 2. Start a shared-seed run, choose your own character, build your own deck, and meet at a mirror boss at the end of each act. Each act uses a compact 13-room route: enough room for combat, events, shops, campfires, a chest, and an elite without the length of a standard run. Players choose their own paths and progress through ordinary rooms independently. When both players reach the boss, the PvP battle begins. Mirror Battles Your opponent appears as a mirror creature with their current health. Attacks sent to the mirror arrive on the opponent's next turn, so both players can see the danger coming and use their deck's normal defensive tools to answer it. Powers, Block, and combat decisions still matter; the mirror is a real boss fight shaped by both decks. At the end of Act 1 and Act 2, surviving players continue to the next act. Act 3 decides the match. Solo Mirror is also available for practicing the mode without an opponent. Balance and Match Rules - Both players use the same seed and must use the same mod version. - Players begin with two extra lives. An ordinary-combat knockout spends a life and restores the player to half health. - Mirror-boss HP and Block scale together for PvP using each act's boss health and the selected characters' starting health. - End Turn readiness is reversible until both players are ready, then the turn advances for both. - A player who reaches a boss first waits on the map and gains 1 HP every 10 seconds, or 1 gold when already at full HP. - Poison and Vulnerable remain local; other queued effects are sent to the opponent for normal resolution. Experimental Friends VS is under active development. Match feedback and bug reports are welcome.
