If you have a character, franchise, or gameplay concept you'd love to play in the Spire, feel free to reach out and start a discussion. Rydia of Mist joins Slay the Spire 2! Call upon the power of the Feymarch, wield devastating elemental magic, and summon familiar Eidolons including Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Bahamut, and even Chocobo! Rydia is a custom character built around Eidolons, Summon, and the interactions between her elemental magic. ✨ Eidolons & Eidolon Resonance Rydia's defining mechanic is her ability to summon powerful Eidolons. Throughout combat, Rydia can accumulate Summon. Upon reaching 100 Summon, she gains Eidolon Resonance. While Eidolon Resonance is active, your next Eidolon card deals double damage and gains a powerful additional effect unique to that Eidolon. For example, Bahamut's Megaflare normally deals damage after 3 turns. Under Eidolon Resonance, Megaflare detonates immediately instead. Knowing when to build toward Resonance and which Eidolon to empower is a major part of mastering Rydia. Summon familiar Eidolons from Final Fantasy IV, including: 🔥 Ifrit ❄️ Shiva ⚡ Ramuh 🐉 Bahamut 🐥 Chocobo ...and more! 🔥 ❄️ ⚡ Elemental Magic Rydia isn't limited to summoning. Her magic can inflict three elemental debuffs: Burn Freeze Shock These effects don't just exist in isolation. Burn, Freeze, and Shock interact with one another, allowing Rydia to create powerful elemental combinations and build decks around exploiting those interactions. Mix elemental magic with Eidolons, specialise heavily in summoning, or turn enemies into an elemental disaster before finishing them with an empowered Eidolon.
