Warning: Do not play this mod on an empty stomach! The Chef ventured into the Spire in search of legendary recipes and ingredients, and is now trapped forever. Help him climb to the top and seek out the ultimate cuisine. Features: - Frozen mechanic: Some cards and relics can freeze cards into a separate pile, which can be manipulated only by playing other cards. Frozen cards can ignore their energy cost, so plan ahead and make big plays! - Recipes: The Chef can start cooking recipes, which require a certain number of 'Ingredients' to be played. When the required number of cards marked as 'Ingredients' are played, the recipe's effects will immediately be triggered. - Prepped: A good chef always has his supplies ready to go. Certain cards trigger bonus effects if played from the leftmost position in your hand. Plan ahead and use card retaining effects to make your enemies suffer. I hope you enjoy this mod. I've gone over the card pool and made a little balance patch. I hope that this improves synergy and fixes a few rough edges. Balance changes: - Change Quick Chop from: Deal 7(9) damage and play 1(3) Frozen cards to: Deal 7(10) damage and play 1(2) Frozen cards. - Change Knife Flurry from: Deal 4(6) damage 4 times to: Deal 4 damage 4 times. (Retain) - Change Candy Bowl from: Hunger deals 8 more damage this combat. Exhaust (don't) to: Hunger deals 8(12) more damage this combat. Exhaust - Change Monster Bait from: Deal 9(12) damage. If the target has Hunger, increase the damage by 5 to: Can only be used if the target has Hunger. Deal 12(18) damage and apply Poison equal to the unblocked damage dealt. - Change Grocery Delivery from: Gain 2X Energy next turn. Exhaust(don't) to: Gain 2X Energy (and X strength) next turn. Exhaust Cosmetic changes: - Correct wording on card selection screen for Defrost+ - improve Death by Chocolate special effect 2022 Changes: Apr 4: Fix - the color of the frame on skill cards didn't match attacks and powers Fix - stop the Prep Cook power from flashing its icon every turn, even when nothing is retained. Buff 2-for-1: cost from 3 -> 1 Rework Defrost+: now plays a chosen frozen card instead of moving 2 frozen cards to your hand. 2021 Changes: Jul 9: Fix - Hide recipes when selecting a card from your hand as they obstruct the instruction text. Fix - Tonkotsu Ramen should have no-freeze as per the description. May 24: Attempt a fix for missing recipes when playing SpireWithFriends Buff the Old Kettle relic from 5 to 7 damage Change the Cookie Jar relic to a flat 10 bonus hunger damage Feb 2: Double Chop now puts a card from the discard pile to the top of the draw pile instead of freezing itself. Add a new setting to configure a key for opening the Frozen pile (default 'F'). Jan 28: fix: Mince triggers draw effects on the skill it draws. Jan 8: Improve the starting deck by switching Quick Thaw to an attack. Some UI improvements. Jan 5: Added Chinese localization thanks to CaptainSnafu. Various minor bug fixes. Nov 16: Fix a bug where Hunger was reducing the damage of Mince to 1 instead of 3. Nov 11: Fix stacking the damage from completing the Chili recipe multiple times resulting in lots of card text. The Fried Lagavulin recipe now enforces the attack limit itself instead of applying the Entangled debuff. Fix recipes unlocking for non-Chef characters.
