Anki Study Break

Between each floor, forces you to stop to do some Anki cards. This mod is intended to interface with Anki via the add-on AnkiConnect. If you don't use Anki, this mod is probably completely irrelevant for you. Installation notes here: https://foosoft.net/projects/anki-connect/ How to use: • Open up Anki, with AnkiConnect installed and running. • Open up Slay the Spire (modded), with BaseMod and this mod running. • Play as normal. • A Slay the Spire card will pop up at the beginning of each floor to remind you to do your Anki reviews. Alt tab into Anki to do some reviews. • At this point, this mod sends a HTTP request to AnkiConnect to see how many cards you have studied that day. • When you've done enough (default 10) reviews, come back to Slay the Spire and select that card. • On selecting that card, this mod will send a HTTP request to AnkiConnect to see how many cards you have studied since the Slay the Spire card first popped up. If you have studied enough Anki cards since the card first popped up (default 10), the card will go away and you can play as normal. • If you haven't studied that many cards between floors, the card will pop up again with the number of cards left until the floor unlocks. Config options: From the start screen, click on: Mods -> Anki Study Break -> config. • Slider: This is how many cards you will be expected to study between each floor. It defaults to 10. If you set this value to 0, it will default back to 10 when you close and reopen the game. • Slider: If you don't want to study on every single floor, adjust this to increase how many floors in between study breaks. This is slightly untested. It defaults to 1. • Checkbox: If you don't want to study at regular intervals, click this. You will use a mostly-random number of floors in between study break, between 1-N, where N is the slider value for number of floors in between study breaks. This is also slightly untested. • Checkbox. LEAVE THIS UNCHECKED UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING . To adjust the URL for the AnkiConnect HTTP requests, check the checkbox and start typing (make sure to include http:// and the port number). MAKE SURE TO UNCHECK THIS WHEN YOU'RE DONE . Otherwise any accidental keypresses will become part of the URL for the AnkiConnect requests, and you will be sad. This value will also be saved when you close and reopen the game. • Button. Resets the above options to default. Known limitations: • This only counts reviews that have a due date - if it's in a filtered deck that doesn't say "reschedule based on my responses", then AnkiConnect doesn't count it in the number of reviews that it will tell this mod, and will not make the counter go down. • I bet something wonky will happen with the numbers if your gameplay crosses over Anki's "when will the new day start" time. If so, going to the main menu in Slay the Spire should reset the numbers. • The number of floors in between reviews counts up every time you enter a room, so exiting and re-entering a room will reduce the number of real floors in between reviews. For example, if you have 2 floors between study breaks, and you have a review on floor 1, clear the floor, and enter room 2, you won't have a study break and can play as normal. However, if you exit and re-enter room 2, you will have a study break on re-entering room 2. • The random number of floors between study breaks will always be 1 immediately after entering the game or adjusting the number of rooms/randomizer options. It will randomize after each completed study break. Other issues and compatibility with other mods: I don't know of any issues, but I don't really use other mods. I did create a special Status card, and it might make some weird things happen if another mod causes it to show up in a different context. It is not registered, so hopefully other mods will not cause it to show up - seems to have worked for Downfall, but has not been thoroughly tested.
