Kill la Kill: The Mod Adds Ryuko Matoi as a playable character. She's got to find out who killed her dad. 113 cards 29 relics 12 events 4 potions Custom character animations Custom VFX Custom SFX Custom music GAMEPLAY: Ryuko is a versatile brawler. Pummel your enemies with strong Scissor Blade attacks, enhance your Blood prowess with Senketsu abilities, and manipulate your deck with a plethora of Mako cards. You may encounter other familiar faces along the way as you ascend the Spire. CORE FEATURES: Blood - Blood empowers Senketsu and Ryuko, allowing her to deal additional damage, use powerful abilities, regenerate health, draw additional cards, and gain extra energy. Make sure not to spend too much at once, as negative Blood amounts will hurt Ryuko. As Mako says - if you die from blood loss, then you totally die . Bleed - Turn-based damage over time effect. Deals 2 damage per stack, decrements by 2 per turn. Has special interactions with Vulnerable and a host of supporting attacks, skills and powers that provide other related benefits. COMPATIBILITY: Kill la Kill: The Mod was designed using the Default Mod template. Wherever possible, cards, relics and events were designed to be constrained to only appear in game when playing Ryuko. I have not performed extensive testing while using other mods. If you encounter issues, please post or comment with your crash logs and I will do what I can to address them. If you are interested in localizing, let me know! Supported languages: English, Simplified Chinese MOD SETTINGS: To access these options: Slay the Spire in-game main menu > Mods > Kill la Kill: The Mod > Config Note: the second video in the gallery (it's only 7 seconds long) will show you how to find this menu • Enable/disable English voiceover SFX • Enable/disable custom music • Enable/disable custom Ryuko animations (Ryuko's sprite movement) • Choose to start with a Senketsu Blood Vial (+4 Blood, +2 Blood Regen) (recommended if you are new to this mod) • Enable: -2 HP from negative Blood; Disable: -1 HP from negative Blood (for extra challenge) • Replace "Note For Yourself" event with a KLKMod event • Selectable card skins! SOURCES: Ryuko's character sprite was animated in Spriter using heavily edited Sushio drawings. The majority of the card art was sourced from thousands of screen caps I took from the anime series. A few images were screenshots from the Kill la Kill IF video game. I created all of the custom SFX by editing and mixing samples from the base game, free samples from Freesound.org, samples from the English dub of Kill la Kill, samples from Darkest Dungeon, and samples from Deep Rock Galactic. I solo produced all of the custom music in this mod. I am not a programmer. I'm not even a hobbyist amateur coder. I will most likely never code anything ever again. But I spent six months putting this mod together just because Kill la Kill is my favorite anime series of all time and Slay the Spire is one of my favorite video games of all time. I wanted to do right by both properties - I've done my best to make the gameplay feel true to the spirit of vanilla Slay the Spire while adding a uniquely Kill la Kill flavor to it.
