"To shine brighter than all others, one must be willing to burn away pieces of themselves." A new Boss Relic has been added: Flare of the Soul: At the start of each turn, gain 1 Energy. Exhaust and remove the first card played each combat. ====== Background ====== The genesis of this relic came from a forum post where a user had designed one. I vehemently argued it was ridiculously overpowered (OP) given that both its effects were purely positive and it synergized seamlessly. However, some players raised concerns about the risk of "bricking" their first turn by losing a crucial card due to a bad opening hand. (Though I personally believe that in a typical deck, critical endgame cards rarely exceed four, and setup cards become redundant with this relic's capacity for effortless deck thinning.) Purely theoretical analysis isn't convincing enough, which is why I created this relic for practical, in-game testing. Anyway, I hope you have fun playing!
