Have you ever gotten Grand Finale in an attack pot, smiled... and then picked Glass Knife instead because it’s actually playable? How sad. Allow me to introduce Essence of the End - potion - Rarity: legendary - "Add 1 Grand Finale and 1 Well Laid Plans to your to your hand. They cost 0 this turn. Scry 10." Happy? This mod adds 6 powerful legendary potions, including Essence of the End, to the game. They are not found in normal combat rewards or the shop and are exclusively* available through 6 new relics (common, uncommon, rare, shop, 2X boss). The mod also adds 3 additional relics (common, uncommon, rare) which provide general potion support. Thanks to code contributed by SandTag, creator of the "Bundle Of" mod series, an extra strong potion from the following four mods appears in the legendary potion pool when they are used alongside this mod: Bundle of Terra, Bundle of Potions, Downfall, and Better Altar. These mods are NOT required to play this one. I should also note that all of my balance testing has been done without crossover content enabled. I have tried to balance this mod to not be wildly OP, so balance feedback is welcome. I will check the comments here, but I will be most responsive in the Legendary Potions thread on the modding forum of the official StS Discord. Speaking of which, I would like to thank the #modding-technical channel for their help as I was creating this mod, my first. A special shoutout is in order for Alchyr, whose introductory modding guide can be found in the pins of #modding-technical. This mod would not exist without it. *There is one known issue with this mod, which I am not addressing because I think it's funny and because I'm lazy . Fun fact, the event potion pool does not work like combat rewards do. Instead of taking potion rarity into account, all potions are equally likely to appear... including potions using the "placeholder" rarity. This means that legendary potions can appear in select event rewards as well as from base game relics such as Cauldron and Tiny House. Now wouldn't it be funny if I left a memey scrapped potion design in the game, outside of my legendary potion pool used by my relics. Such a potion would only appear in niche circumstances...
