Art Replacer Framework ! This mod allows you to easily swap character skins, animations, and artwork dynamically right from the Character Select screen. How to Use: • Subscribe to this mod and make sure ModTheSpire and BaseMod are installed. • Download compatible skin folders and place them in your game directory: SlayTheSpire/skins/characters/ / • Launch the game, select a character, and use the arrows above their name to swap skins Guide for Skin Creators 1. The Auto-Template Launch the game with this mod enabled once. It will automatically generate an empty folder called _SkinTemplate inside SlayTheSpire/skins/characters/ironclad/ . Copy that folder, rename it to your skin's name, and fill in the files 2. File Structure Rules Your skin folder must be placed in the correct character's folder (e.g., skins/characters/theSilent/MyCoolSkin/ ). Inside your folder, name your files exactly like this (replace with your exact folder name): • 📄 info.json (Required: Sets your skin's name and custom animations) • 📁 idle/ • .atlas (Required) • .json (Required) • .png (Required) • 🖼️ Shoulder.png (Optional: Campfire resting) • 🖼️ Shoulder2.png (Optional: Campfire smithing/digging) • 🖼️ Corpse.png (Optional: Game Over screen) • 📁 ui/charSelect/ • Portrait.jpg (Optional: Replaces character select background) • 📁 scenes/ • (Optional: Place base-game named files like ironclad1.png here to replace the Heart cutscenes) 3. Setting up info.json You can easily map your custom Spine animations to play when certain cards are used! Open the info.json file and use this format: { "name_eng": "Skin", "name_zhs": "皮肤", "animations": { "ATTACK": "slash_animation", "SKILL": "block_animation", "POWER": "buff_animation", "ATTACK_1" : "attack_that_cost_one", "Cleave": "spin_attack". "HP_HIGH": "idle", "HP_LOW": "idle_wounded", } } Current suppoerted mapping: different animation base on card cost, base on cardID, base on HP -> above/below half health.
